Angela’s Story
There was a time in my life when I wondered if I would ever truly heal.
Like many people, I have walked through seasons of deep pain, loss, fear, and heartbreak. There were days when I questioned my worth, nights when I cried myself to sleep, and moments when I couldn’t see a way forward. Life had left scars that seemed too deep to heal.
But God.
Those two words changed everything.
Little by little, God began to restore what had been broken. He didn’t erase my past, but He showed me that my past did not define my future. Through His Word, prayer, and the quiet moments I spent writing in my journal, He began healing places in my heart that I thought would always remain broken.
Journaling became more than putting words on paper. It became a conversation with God. It became a place where I could pour out my fears, my questions, my gratitude, and my prayers. As I wrote, I discovered that God was gently replacing my fear with peace, my shame with grace, and my hopelessness with hope.
Along the way, God placed faithful people in my life who reminded me of His love. My sister has been one of His greatest gifts to me. She has been my protector, my encourager, and my best friend. Her faith, love, and strength helped carry me through some of the darkest chapters of my life, and I will forever thank God for her.
Today, I can honestly say that I am not who I used to be.
I am not perfect, and I still have days when life feels heavy. But I have learned that God’s grace is greater than my past, His love is stronger than my fears, and His promises never fail.
This journal was created because I want you to experience that same hope.
No matter what you have been through, you are not beyond God’s reach. No matter how broken you feel, He is still in the business of restoring hearts. My prayer is that every page you write will draw you closer to Jesus, remind you of His unfailing love, and help you see that your story is still being written.
If these pages encourage you to spend even one more moment with God, to whisper one more prayer, or to believe one more time that healing is possible, then this journal has fulfilled its purpose.
Thank you for allowing me to walk beside you on this journey.
May you grow deeply rooted in Christ and forever be restored by His grace.
With love,

Why Rooted & Restored Was Born
Rooted & Restored was born from a journey I never would have chosen, but one that God has faithfully redeemed.
For many years, I carried wounds that were invisible to the world. I knew what it felt like to question my worth, to walk through heartbreak, and to wonder if healing was truly possible. During those difficult seasons, I discovered something life-changing: when I brought my honest thoughts, prayers, and questions to God, He met me there.
A journal became more than paper and ink. It became a place where I could pour out my heart, reflect on God’s Word, and see His faithfulness one page at a time. Looking back, I can see how He was gently teaching me to trust Him, strengthening my faith, and restoring the broken places in my life.
That is why Rooted & Restored was born.
My prayer is to create more than books and journals. I want to create a place where people can slow down, spend time with God, and discover that no matter what they have faced, they are deeply loved, never alone, and never beyond His grace.
The name Rooted & Restored reflects the journey God has taken me on.
To be rooted is to build your life on Jesus Christ, allowing His truth to become the foundation that holds you steady through every season.
To be restored is to experience the transforming grace of God. Restoration doesn’t erase the past, but it reminds us that God can bring beauty from ashes, hope from despair, and purpose from pain.
My hope is that every journal, every letter, and every page published through Rooted & Restored will encourage you to open your Bible, draw near to Christ, and trust that He is still writing a beautiful story with your life.
Welcome to the journey.
May your life become deeply rooted in Christ and forever restored by His grace.
