When You’ve Lost Someone You Love

My precious child,

I know your heart hurts.

I know there are moments when the silence feels louder than words. I know there are days when something reminds you of the one you love—a song, a place, a scent, or a memory—and suddenly the tears come again.

You wonder if anyone truly understands the ache you carry.

I do.

I have seen every tear you’ve cried. I have heard every prayer whispered through broken sobs. Even when you couldn’t find the words, I knew what your heart was trying to say.

Grief is not a sign of weak faith.

It is the evidence of deep love.

The love you shared mattered, and because it mattered, the loss hurts. Don’t be ashamed of your tears. I created them, and I collect every one of them. Not a single tear falls without Me seeing it.

When the world expects you to “move on,” remember that healing is not a race. I will walk with you one day, one breath, one step at a time.

You may never stop missing the one you love, but you do not have to carry that longing by yourself.

Give it to Me.

When your heart feels empty, let Me fill it with My presence.

When loneliness settles in, remember that I am near.

When the memories bring both joy and pain, thank Me for the gift of those moments while trusting Me with the hurt they leave behind.

I know you have questions.

You may ask why.

You may wonder why I allowed this to happen.

You may wish you had one more conversation, one more hug, one more “I love you.”

I understand those questions, even when I do not answer them the way you hope.

My ways are higher than yours, but My heart toward you is always good.

Death was never My desire for My children. It is part of a broken world, but it is not the end of the story.

Because of My Son, Jesus, death does not have the final word.

There is hope beyond the grave.

There is a promise of eternal life for all who place their faith in Him.

Until that day, I will be your comfort.

When you feel too weak to stand, I will carry you.

When your tears won’t stop, I will stay beside you.

When everyone else has gone home and the house feels quiet, I will still be there.

You are never grieving alone.

Remember My promise:

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

And hear these words that have comforted My children for generations:

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4

One day, I will wipe every tear from your eyes.

There will be no more death.

No more mourning.

No more crying.

No more pain.

Until that beautiful day, hold tightly to My hand.

Let Me carry what feels too heavy.

Let My peace surround your heart.

And never forget this:

The love you shared was a gift.

The memories you cherish are precious.

Your grief matters to Me.

And so do you.

I have not left you.

I never will.

Love always,

Your Heavenly Father

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Today my heart is heavy with grief. The pain of losing someone I love feels overwhelming, and there are moments when I don’t know how to move forward.

Thank You for staying close to me in my sorrow. Thank You for every memory, every moment shared, and every reminder that love never disappears from our hearts.

Comfort me when the loneliness feels unbearable. Strengthen me when I feel weak. Help me trust You even when I don’t understand why this loss happened.

Fill my heart with the hope found in Jesus—the promise that death is not the end for those who belong to You.

Until the day when You make all things new, help me walk one day at a time, knowing You are holding me through every tear.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
